Impact Wrestling Preview, 5/26/11

WWE, TNA, WrestlingTonight’s episode of Impact Wrestling will be headlined by a one-on-one contest between Rob Van Dam and Kurt Angle in the main event.  Angle is still locked in a blood feud with Jeff Jarrett but hopes to be moving into the World Title scene soon.  Meanwhile, Rob Van Dam is fresh off a loss to Sting at Sacrifice, and he’s aiming not to be lost in the shuffle following his defeat.  Also scheduled for tonight’s show is the debut of the “Scorpion Sit-down” starring Mr. Anderson as Sting.  We saw Anderson dress as the early 90s version of the Stinger last week, and this week he’ll reprise that role as he hosts an in-ring talk show.

Also booked for tonight’s show is a Television Title match between champion Gunner and challenger Eric Young, who has been wrongfully carrying the belt around for weeks.  The X Division Title will be defended tonight as well when “The Monster” Abyss collides with Brian Kendrick, who seeks to reposition the spotlight back on himself and fellow X Division stars.  Jeff Jarrett will go toe-to-toe with Matt Morgan, and Knockouts Champion Mickie James will be in action against the enigmatic Winter.  Rounding out tonight’s Impact Wrestling will be a tag team contest pitting AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels against Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer.
